The Institute of Risk Management's India Affiliate has observed increasing concern about the proliferation of misleading and substandard marketing strategies employed by certain online edtech companies and institutions in India. These entities have engaged in unethical practices, including the replication of our advertising materials, visual assets, course names, curriculum details, examination content, and most notably, directly copying our advertisement content and misusing the IRM name in a blatant attempt to trick and fool customers into registering for their courses, which look exactly similar to that of our Institute. Such actions by other institutions are deemed inappropriate.
We wish to clarify unequivocally that these institutions have no affiliation with the IRM and do not possess the authority to confer the Certified Fellowship in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). The IRM is the global authority in ERM education and the only legitimate certifying body for ERM designations (IRMCert, GradIRM, CMIRM, CFIRM), proudly upholding the highest standards of excellence across 140 countries worldwide. With representatives of ISO and COSO on our India Advisory Board, the AICTE Evaluation for the Level 1 Global ERM Foundation Exam, the OFQUAL accreditation for the IRMCert qualification (referred to as Level 2 in India) and the Governance and Advisory Board composed of industry stalwarts and veterans – the IRM undoubtedly is committed to maintaining the integrity and prestige of the ERM profession as the pioneering education body. We appreciate the trust and commitment of our global community of ERM professionals.
Advisory to Candidates:
1. Exercise Caution: We strongly advise all current and prospective candidates to exercise caution and perform due diligence before registering with any institution for ERM certification. It is imperative to verify the authenticity and accreditation of such bodies to avoid falling prey to deceptive practices.
2. Official Information: For accurate and official information regarding the designations in ERM, including registration, curriculum, examination content, and more, please refer only to our official website and communication channels - www.theirmindia.org.
3. Report Suspicious Activities: Should you encounter any suspicious or misleading marketing tactics purportedly associated with the ERM certification; we urge you to report them directly to us. Your reports are invaluable in assisting us in taking appropriate measures to protect the integrity of our certification process.
4. Accreditation: IRM has the authority to issue Certified Fellowships in ERM. Please ensure that any programme you consider is officially recognized and endorsed by us by checking our website for a list of accredited programmes.
5. Beware of Imitation Content: Be vigilant of institutions that use marketing materials, curriculum, or examination content that appears suspiciously similar to ours. These are often tell-tale signs of fraudulent activities aimed at misleading students.
